Bloggedíbloggblogg

I don't really have a topic I want to write about but the time is 23:56 and I feel I have to do a blog a day for a while to get back into the swing of things.

Let me see... Today me and my little viking and my mom went to the library to pick up some DVDs and then we went to the Flea Market. The flea market here is totally different from Kolaportið back in Iceland. Over here there are just unmanned booths and the market is open 7 days a week. Everything is just carefully labeled and you pick what you want to buy and bring it to a register at the front of the building. As a result the flea market here is very quiet and you can just take your time wandering around looking at things without people actually trying to sell you stuff. On the other hand you can't haggle anyone over the prices and you miss that hustle and bustle atmosphere of an 'active' flea market.

I'm off to bed, my little viking fell asleep almost 3 hours ago and I feel I need to catch up, he'll probably be up early tomorrow morning.

Bibbi Babka

Oh how I loved these shows, and still do, the name of the show was Perfect Strangers but to me they were just Larry and Balki. And here they are, baking bibbi babkas ;)

X-mas in July

I know I'm crazy talking about Christmas in July but I'm just so happy that I already have the bulk of the Christmas present shopping already done, booyah! Me and my mom hit some great sales and got awesome stuff. Of course the heat is killing me and nothing about this weather says Christmas to me (if I were Australian it would though wouldn't it). Anyway, it is such a load off to have a bunch of presents already, such relief from some of the holiday stress one so invariably suffers through come October-December. Now I just have to remember to wrap them up and ship them out in a timely manner ;)

Lisa, you asked about The Party in the comments, and it's this great Peter Sellers movie where he portrays an Indian (from India, not native American) and is just his hilarious self, well worth a watch. Birdie Num Num!

Bleh, it is too hot for typing, too hot for anything really. I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt and am seriously contemplating losing the shirt and just wearing the bra. Not kidding! It's 33 degrees Celsius out there, and the humidity, oh the humanity. If I don't melt today I'll continue blogging tomorrow ;)

First post

Testing one two seven, testing :)

Two tomatoes are walking across the street when a car comes hurtling towards them and they narrowly escape certain death. One tomato starts laughing wildly saying ''man, I totally just ruined that joke!''
